Hotels In The Maldives

A small cluster of islands in Southeast Asia known as the Maldives are home to some of most luxuriously lush tropical resorts on earth. Most of the island consist of white sand beaches and tropical foliage. Fish and other seafood dishes are a staple of the fare offered, but familiar imported foods are also available. Most hotels in the Maldives are actually all-inclusive beachfront resorts that feature water sports, spas, restaurants, clubs and local tours. These resorts are located on secluded islands far away from the traffic that is daily life, and are geared towards couples on honeymoon and other romantic getaways. Many resorts have been as ideal destination weddings as well as the honeymoon destination in one.

Although these resorts have practically everything imaginable available to guests, a stay could become quite steep as there are lots of taxes and gratuities added on at the end. Many of the hotel amenities such as use of the gym or entrance to clubs may also not necessarily be free. Besides the expense, there many be some minimal language barriers although all staff is well trained and accustomed to foreign travelers. Because all of the resorts are located on an island, all drinking water is bottled and that can quickly become an unforeseen expense.

Some of the highly rated resorts include the Villa Hotels Paradise Island Resort and spa on Paradise Island, the Sun Island Resort and Spa, Rangali Island, and the Kuredu Island Resort and Spa, Lhaviyani Atoll. Anantara Resort, on Dhigu Island, features a kids friendly activity and babysitting services while parents are free to stroll the expansive beaches or relax under the sun. Kuredu Island Resort and Spa features a golf course as well as a professional golfing supply store to rent or purchase relevant equipment. Snorkeling, diving, fishing, and jet skiing are some of the standard water sports available, but some resorts include activities such as water tours in search of dolphins, and even a surf school. Activities outside of the resorts themselves are available as well. Many Maldives resorts offer trips to the capital, boat tours of other islands, excursions to uninhabited islands.

Besides the inconvenience of needing a little sunscreen and a large bankroll, resorts in Maldive are absolutely some of the best island vacation destinations on earth
